Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the position of Junior Survey Officer:

  • Possess a Mine Surveyor Certificate of Competency (Unrestricted) issued by a recognized authority.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of service as a Mine Surveyor in T&S Grade A/A1.
  • Provide SSC or equivalent certificates as proof of age.
  • For candidates with qualifications obtained through correspondence or distance education, an NOC (No Objection Certificate) from SCCL is mandatory.

Application Process

The application process consists of two parts: online submission and hard copy submission.

Online Submission:
Candidates must log in to SCCL’s internal portal at www.scclmines.com/internal, fill out the application form, and upload the required documents. These documents include proof of age, educational qualifications, service records, caste certificates (if applicable), and recent passport-sized photographs.

Hard Copy Submission:
After successfully submitting the application online, candidates must print the completed form, sign it, and forward it along with the necessary documents to the concerned General Manager (Personnel, Welfare & RC). Applications submitted without the required documentation or after the deadlines will not be considered.

Selection Process

The selection process comprises several stages to ensure that the most qualified candidates are selected.

Application Screening:
Submitted applications are reviewed for accuracy, eligibility, and completeness. Any discrepancies may result in disqualification.

Document Verification:
All submitted documents, including educational certificates, service records, and NOC (if applicable), are thoroughly verified.

Written Test:
The written test carries a weightage of 85% and evaluates the candidates’ technical knowledge and skills. The test will include multiple-choice questions in English, and candidates must carefully complete the OMR sheet. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for General and BC categories and 35% for SC, ST, and PH categories.

Assessment Reports:
These reports account for 15% of the overall weightage. Prepared by the candidates’ respective heads of departments, the reports evaluate professional achievements, performance, and contributions.

Final Selection:
The final merit list is prepared based on the combined scores of the written test and assessment reports. Selected candidates are notified and assigned roles accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

Junior Survey Officers are responsible for conducting detailed surveys of mining areas, ensuring precision in excavation and operations. They are also tasked with preparing comprehensive survey reports and maintaining compliance with mining regulations. Their role involves designing mining plans in collaboration with teams and monitoring on-site progress. Proficiency in modern survey tools, such as GPS and CAD software, is crucial for the efficient execution of these responsibilities.

Reservation Policies

SCCL adheres to government-mandated reservation policies, ensuring fair representation for SC, ST, BC, and women candidates. Local reservations are also applied as per the Presidential Order of 2018.

Definition of Local Candidate:
A local candidate is one who has:

  • Studied in Telangana for at least seven consecutive academic years before the qualifying examination, or
  • Resided in the state for the same period if formal education was not pursued.

Non-local candidates may apply under general terms but do not receive the same priority as local candidates.

Required Documents

Candidates must submit the following documents:

  • SSC certificate for proof of age.
  • Latest caste certificate (if applicable).
  • Service records and relevant experience documents.
  • NOC for qualifications obtained through correspondence.
  • Recent passport-sized photographs.

Written Test Details
