Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Recruitment 2025. The Indian Air Force (IAF) invites online applications from unmarried Indian male and female candidates for the selection test for Agniveervayu under the Agnipath Scheme. Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

  • Eligible Age Range: Candidates born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2008 (both dates inclusive).
  • Maximum Age at Enrolment: If a candidate clears all selection stages, the upper age limit for enrolment is 21 years as of the date of enrolment.

Marital Status and Pregnancy

  • Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply.
  • Female candidates must declare they will not get pregnant during the four-year engagement period. Pregnancy during service will result in discharge.

Educational Qualifications

For Science Subjects:

  • Passed 10+2/Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics, and English with at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.
  • OR completed a Three-year Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, etc.) with at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.
  • OR passed a Two-year Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects like Physics and Mathematics with at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.

For Non-Science Subjects:

  • Passed 10+2/Intermediate in any stream with at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.
  • OR completed a Two-year Vocational Course with at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.

Note: Candidates eligible for Science Subjects can also appear for Non-Science Subjects in the same sitting.

Medical Standards

The following medical standards apply to all candidates:

Height:

  • Male: Minimum 152 cm.
  • Female: Minimum 152 cm (147 cm for candidates from hilly regions of Uttarakhand and the North East; 150 cm for Lakshadweep).

Weight: Proportionate to height and age.

Chest Expansion:

  • Male: Minimum chest circumference of 77 cm with a 5 cm expansion.
  • Female: Minimum 5 cm expansion.

Hearing: Normal hearing; able to hear forced whispers from a distance of 6 meters.

Dental: Healthy gums and a minimum of 14 dental points.

Vision Standards:

  • Minimum visual acuity: 6/12 each eye (correctable to 6/6).
  • Refractive error: +2.0D (Hypermetropia) and -1.0D (Myopia) including astigmatism.

General Health:

  • Candidates must be free from any chronic, communicable diseases and meet the IAF’s physical and mental fitness standards.

Body Tattoos:

  • Tattoos are allowed only on the inner forearms or non-visible body parts. Offensive or large tattoos are prohibited.

Terms and Conditions of Service

Engagement Period

  • Candidates will serve as Agniveervayu for four years.
  • Agniveervayu will hold a rank distinct from regular Air Force personnel.
  • There is no obligation for the IAF to retain Agniveervayu beyond their engagement period.
  • However, 25% of each batch may be selected for enrolment into the regular cadre based on organizational needs and performance.

Post-Service Benefits

  • After four years of service, Agniveervayu will receive a Seva Nidhi Package of ₹10.04 lakhs, including contributions from both the individual and the government.

Training

  • Selected candidates will undergo training as per Air Force requirements, including discipline, physical fitness, and job-specific technical skills.

Pay, Allowances, and Leave

Pay Scale

  • First Year: ₹30,000/month (70% in-hand, 30% contributed to the Seva Nidhi fund).
  • Second Year: ₹33,000/month.
  • Third Year: ₹36,500/month.
  • Fourth Year: ₹40,000/month.

Leave Policy

  • Annual Leave: 30 days per year.
  • Sick Leave: Based on medical advice.

Application Process

Step 1: Website for Application

  • The portal will be open for registration between 07 January 2025 (1100 hours) and 27 January 2025 (2300 hours).
  • Candidates are advised to complete the process early to avoid last-minute technical issues

Documents to be Uploaded

  • During the online registration process, candidates must upload the following documents, based on their eligibility criteria and qualifications:
    • Class 10th/Matriculation Passing Certificate
      This is mandatory for all candidates to verify the date of birth and identity.
  • Chosen Domicile Certificate/COAFP Certificate
    As per the requirements mentioned in Para 8 of the official notification, candidates must upload a valid domicile certificate from their respective state or region.
  • Educational Qualification Certificates
    • Depending on the candidate’s qualification, upload any one of the following:
    • Intermediate/10+2 or equivalent marks sheet, showing at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English.
    • 3-Year Engineering Diploma Final Year Marks Sheet, if applying on the basis of a diploma from a government-recognized polytechnic institute.Additionally, upload the Matriculation/10th Marks Sheet if the diploma does not include English as a subject.
    • 2-Year Vocational Course Marks Sheet, if applying with a vocational qualification (must include non-vocational subjects such as English, Physics, and Mathematics).
    • Higher Education Qualification Certificates
      Upload any additional educational or skill certificates, if applicable.
  • Passport-size Photograph
    • Requirements:Recent color photograph (taken after November 2024).
    • Size: 10 KB to 50 KB.
    • Light background, front portrait view, without facemask or headgear (except for Sikhs).
    • The candidate must hold a black slate with their name and the date of the photograph written in white chalk in capital letters.
  • Important: Ensure the photograph reflects your appearance during the examination. Changes such as growing a beard or wearing headgear may lead to disqualification.
  • Left-hand Thumb Impression
    • File size: 10 KB to 50 KB.
    • Ensure clarity and proper formatting for biometric verification.
  • Candidate’s Signature
    • File size: 10 KB to 50 KB.
  • Signatures must match during future verification stages.Parent’s/Guardian’s Signature
  • Applicable only if the candidate is below 18 years of age on the date of filling out the application.

Examination Fee

  • Amount: ₹550/- plus GST.
  • Payment Methods: Debit Cards, Credit Cards, or Internet Banking through a secure payment gateway.
  • Instructions for Payment:
    • Follow the steps provided during the online payment process.
    • Save the transaction details or take a printout for your records.
Refund Policy for Multiple Payments
  • If multiple payments are received for a single application, the excess amount will be refunded to the originating account after:
    • The closing of registration.
    • Reconciliation of payment records.
  • If multiple applications are submitted by the same candidate, only one application will be accepted. Payment for other applications will not be refunded.
Fee Non-Refundable Policy
  • The fee, once paid, cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
  • It also cannot be reserved for future recruitment cycles.

Selection Process

  • Phase I: Online Examination (starting from 22 March 2025).
  • Phase II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT), including:
    • 1.6 km run in 6.5 minutes.
    • 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, and 20 squats within the stipulated time.
  • Phase III: Medical Examination.
  • Final Merit List: Based on performance in all stages.

Code of Conduct and Other Guidelines

  • Drug Abuse: Zero tolerance for drug or alcohol abuse. Any violation will result in immediate disqualification or dismissal.
  • Marital Undertaking: Candidates must remain unmarried during their engagement period.
  • Authenticity: Use of forged documents will lead to cancellation of candidature and potential legal action.
